Ann S. Zacour, 97

Ann S. Zacour, 97, died Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Danbury Senior Living, Wooster, Ohio, after a lengthy illness.

Ann was born December 23, 1928, in Niles, Ohio, to Leroy F. Swegan and Florence A. Swegan,

and was married to Dr. Alexander Zacour on January 6, 1952. She and Dr. Zacour were married for more than 62 years, until his death in March 2014. She resided the past 72 years in Wayne County, Ohio, both in Orrville and Wooster, and was an x-ray technician and devoted homemaker.

Surviving are sons Wayne (Ann) Zacour of Wooster, Dr. Kevin (Renee) Zacour of Houston, Pennsylvania, and Dr. Todd (Melissa) Zacour of North Canton; grandchildren David (Molly) Zacour of Wooster, Paul Zacour of Wooster, Daniel (Monica) Zacour of Sarasota, Florida, Stephen (Sarah) Zacour of Wooster, Kyle (Kendra) Zacour of Wadsworth, Shane Zacour of Westminster, Colorado, Rachel (Ellis) Painter of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, Brent (Katelin) Zacour of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Serena (Seth) Martin of North Canton, and Connor (Hannah) Zacour of North Canton, Ohio:; and eleven great – grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, a sister, Virginia Holl, died previously.

Funeral services will be held at Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call Tuesday morning at I 0:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

The family requests that donations be made to LifeCare Hospice in lieu of flowers.
