Eli D. Mast, 86

Eli D. Mast, 86, of Dalton, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Danbury Senior Living of Wooster, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Millersburg on December 18, 1939 to the late Dan A. and Bertha Mae (Miller) Mast and married Clara Troyer in 1960 in Mount Eaton.
He was the owner of Mast Builders for 40 years and enjoyed his life building homes.  He was a charter member of Mennonite Christian Assembly for 39 years where he had served as an elder and enjoyed teaching Sunday School.  He was instrumental in the construction of MCA and loved going on short term mission trips.  He enjoyed golfing, vacationing in Florida, playing games, reading the Bible (especially the Old Testament) and working with wood in his shop in his later years.
In addition to his wife of 66 years, Clara, he is survived by children, Galen (Amy) Mast, Sheila (Mervin) Kline and Fonda (Dean) Mullet; grandchildren, Jordan Mast, Brittany Bardawil, Tiffany Johnson, Allyssa Heus, Colby Stoltzfus, Austin Stoltzfus, Danae Beaudette, Mckenzie Mullet, Danielle Landis and Jacoby Mullet; 23 great grandchildren; sisters, Ada Schlabach and Ida Mast, a brother, Dan (Esta) Mast Jr.; sister-in-law, Arie Mast; and brothers-in-law, Abe Schlabach and Dave Siegrist.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ken Stoltzfus Jr., a great granddaughter, Savanah Grace Landis; sisters, Susie Schlabach, Dorothy Siegrist and Sarah Mast; brothers, LeeRoy (Louella), Ivan and Amos (Verna); and brothers-in-law, Larry Mast and Lee Schlabach.
Friends may call on Friday, March 27, 2026 from 4-8:00 pm at Mennonite Christian Assembly, 10664 Fryburg Road, Fredericksburg, where memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00 am.  Graveside services will be held prior at 10:00 am in the church cemetery.
