Carolyn M. Shoup, 86

Carolyn M. Shoup, 86, of Wooster and formerly of Apple Creek, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at her home surrounded by loved ones.

She was born in Wadsworth on September 7, 1939 to the late Leo and Rosella (Lehman) Amstutz and married Vernon R. Shoup on February 20, 1959.  He died September 22, 2016.

She is survived by daughters, Janelle (William) Kick of Wooster, Jeanette (late Larry) McVay of Wooster, Sharon Carney of Wooster, Karen (Robert) Snodgrass of Shreve and Gloria (Jim) Jennings of Kidron; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley (Bryon) Rout of Oklahoma and Mary (Bob) Hankins of Wooster; and a brother, Roger (Cheryl) Amstutz of Orrville.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Larry McVay; a brother, Earl Amstutz; and a sister, Deloris Amstutz.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 6-8:00 pm at Kidron Mennonite Church, 3987 Kidron Road, Kidron, where a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 11:00 am.  Family graveside services will be held prior in the Maple Grove Memorial Park near Wooster.
