Peggy J. Henning, 84

DALTON – Peggy J. Henning, age 84, passed away on July 2, 2026.

She was born in Wooster, OH to the late Russell and Rhea (Hartzler) Hoover.  A lifelong resident of Dalton, Peggy was a homemaker most of her life and devoted herself to raising and caring for her family.  She had worked for many years in her younger days at Clark Ceramics.  She always enjoyed spending time working in her yard.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John “Greg” Henning in 2018, an infant daughter, and her brother-in-law, Paul Zimmerman.  She is survived by her children, Joanna L. (Alan) Graber, Jeffery, Dennis, Michael (Kimberly Derflinger) all of Dalton; grandchildren, Dustin Graber, Adam Graber, Abby Henning, Tara Carr; adopted grandchildren, J.D. Murphy, Lindsey Sillman, Brittany Lehman; sisters, Kathy Zimmerman, Susan (Randy) Hicks, both of FL; brother, Robert (Cathy) Hoover of Akron; other family and friends.
