Deborah L. Maurer, 69

Deborah L. Maurer, age 69, of Orrville, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at her residence following a period of declining health.

Deborah was born on January 1, 1957, in Orrville, Ohio, to the late Vincent and Carol (Wolgamot) Macrino. She married Joe Maurer on October 16, 2009, in Orrville, and he survives.

She graduated from Orrville High School in 1975 and worked as a baker for Michael’s Bakery, several other local establishments, as well as her own custom jewelry making business.

Deborah enjoyed baking, making jewelry, gardening, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Maurer; two sons, Peter J. (Jessica) Guster of Dalton and Cody V. (Holly Miller) Walk of Wooster; three daughters, Cari (Jared) Kauffman of Apple Creek, Sara (Jason) Hostetler of Orrville, and Beth (John) Tredway of Columbus; 11 grandchildren, Enten, Saul, Tristan, Emma, Amie, Oliver, Audrey, Rileigh, Paul, Brahm, and Evalyn; three sisters, Derice (Ron) Tucker of Smithville, Mary (Kirk) Rinehart of Orrville, and Lisa (Brian) Kauf of Orrville; and one brother, Bob (Kay) Macrino of Wooster.

In keeping with Deborah’s wishes, cremation will take place, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The family extends its heartfelt thanks to Sue Suppan and Linda Kraft for their friendship, kindness and support.
