DALTON  The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office welcomes any information pertaining to an attempted robbery earlier this month at Dollar General.

Two unknown males wearing masks attempted to rob the business, according to information from the report provided by Capt. Doug Hunter. One of the individuals was described as armed with a handgun. It was unknown whether the second man was armed.

Both demanded money from the cashier, but she was unable to open the register. After several demands, they fled the store on foot and got into an unknown vehicle parked east of the business.
