Bolin, Phillip Arthur
ORRVILLE — Phillip Arthur Bolin went to his eternal home at the age of 77 on Sunday, April 26, 2020, following a period of declining health. He was a resident of Smithville Western Care Center where he resided for the past few years.
Phillip was born on September 1st, 1942, in Union Furnace, Ohio, to Mary Holdren Bolin and Denver Bolin who are both deceased. He attended Logan High School and married Wanda Angle on November 11th, 1962, in Logan. She survives.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1962 as a chef by trade. He worked as a tow motor operator for Akron Brass for over 20 years until he took an early retirement in 1989.
Phillip was a member of the Good News Baptist Church in Smithville and enjoyed wood working, crafting and fishing.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 57 years together are daughters, Shelley (Jim) Young of Orrville, Lisa (Steve) Madigan of Orrville, Diana (Eric) Wentworth of Ashland, and Jennifer Dawn Bolin of Orrville. He is also survived by a sister, Connie (Robert) Nussbaum of Kidron; a brother, William Bolin of Lake Logan; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jones; a sister, Vera Villard; brothers, Mark Wilburn and John Bolin; and an infant grandchild, Brittany Elkins.
A virtual service will be live streamed on the Auble Funeral Home Facebook page at 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 30, 2020. Burial will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date.
