Hall, John S. Jr.
John S. Hall Jr., age 67, of Orrville, died Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at his residence, following a period of declining health.
John was born on July 31, 1952, in Oceanside, California, to John S. and O. Marlene (McKee) Hall, Sr., graduated from Orrville High School in 1970 and received an Associate Degree in Engineering from AT&T Technical Institute.
He worked at Crown Division from 1972-1993 as product manager and later for Orrville Products, Waltco, and lastly, Falls Stamping and Welding, as a plant supervisor until he retired.
He enjoyed Cleveland sports, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and classic cars. In his younger years, he loved to go “cruising” with his friends. John especially loved football and was proud that he was an Orrville Red Rider football player (#70). Each summer, his favorite thing to do was hit the road with family and friends to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for vacation. He cherished his time with friends and loved getting together with Greg Marthey, Jerry Peterman, Bob McGuire and Danny Akers for breakfast at Mrs. J’s in Orrville. More than anything else, he loved spending time with his children.
Surviving are his three daughters, Carley (Josh Filhour) Hall of Wadsworth, Ashley Hall of Dalton, and Day Still of Chicago, IL; son, Justin (Kate) Plant of Orrville; sister, Patricia A. “Patty” (Randall “Randy”) Rose of Orrville; a nephew; many nieces; numerous great nieces and nephews; and two close friends, Greg Marthey of Wooster, and Laurie Hall of Dalton, as well as many others.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Gregory L. (Carolyn) Hall.
Memorial services will be held at a later date and cremation will take place.
