Orrville Salvation Army accepting Christmas program sign-ups

Could you use a little extra help this Christmas season with gifts for your children and/or food for the family or yourself? COVID-19 may have drastically changed your circumstances in 2020 and there is help to make Christmas special for your family.

The Orrville Salvation Army-Maiwurm Service Center is now accepting sign-ups for Christmas programs. Those who reside in the Orrville, Dalton, Kidron, Marshallville or North Lawrence communities and fall under the 175 percent federal poverty guidelines, may come to the Orrville Salvation Army and register for Angel Tree &/or Christmas Food Basket.

Thanks to the generous community, the Angel Tree project provides gifts for children ages birth through 12th grade and the Christmas Food Box is for families or individuals in need.

Please bring a photo ID, 30 days proof of income, proof of residence and social security cards for all household members.

Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at 401 W. High St., Orrville. The last day to sign-up for Angel Tree is Nov. 20 and the last day for Christmas Food Box sign-up is Dec. 10. For more information, call the Orrville Salvation Army at 330-683-3138.
