Freada L. Hoover – .AKA Weezie, 95, of Navarre, passed away on Friday, October, 30, 2020 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Dalton.
She was born in Harrison County on November 8, 1924 to he late Ernest and Florence Rose. After graduating from Dennison High School, she went on to become a “Rosie the Riveter”. In 1945 she married the love of her life, William F. Hoover and together they lived, loved and worked side by side for the next 65 years. In 1952 they opened “Bill’s Speed Shop”. Together they lifted, towed, pushed, pulled, hauled, winched, loaded, unloaded until the wee hours of the morning making sure there was always food on the table to feed their 3 children, Spencer, Mary Rohr-Pruner and Elizabeth Hoover-Miller.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill); grandson, Jason Pruner; brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Jane Rose; two son-in-laws, Dean Pruner and Bob Miller.
Surviving are her 3 children; granddaughter, Lindsey (Paul) Gardner; great grand kids, Christian, Cameron and Calli Nicole; and a nephew, David Rose and family; devoted friends, Cynthia Norris and William Brown.
Due to the current health concerns, the family has decided not to have any public services.
