Friesel, Edward “Dean”

Orrville — Edward “Dean” Friesel, age 54, of Orrville, died unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, November 3, 2020, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, following a brief illness.
Dean was born on April 6, 1966, in Bellaire, Ohio, to Edmond and Charlotte (Haslam) Friesel and graduated from Rittman High School with the class of 1985.

He worked in manufacturing for several area factories, retiring in 2015.

Dean was a proud member of the Sportsmen’s Club in Orrville. He was an avid angler and fished everywhere that he could. He enjoyed spending time with kids and his friends, and loved to take kids fishing and show them the ropes. Dean was the kind of guy who treated everyone like they were his family.

Surviving are his mother, Charlotte, of Orrville; eight sisters and two brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved to take fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father and two of his brothers.

Services will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville. Burial will take place at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville at a later date.

Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.

The family has chosen to have a public event. Although funeral events are exempt from current gathering limitations, the risk of virus transmission from one person to another is much higher at a public event.  Visitors are asked to wear masks, practice social distancing, and adhere to the posted signs and spacing limitations. Seating may be limited.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Orrville Sportsmen’s Club, 18473 Shifferly Rd., North Lawrence, OH 44666.
