George R. Brown, 68, of Orrville, formerly of California, died unexpectedly Monday, November 9, 2020 at his residence.

He was born February 2, 1952 in Los Angeles, California to the late James and Letha (Norris) Brown and has lived in Orrville for the past 15 years.

George served in the U. S. Army and was employed as a truck driver for many years. He married Tammy Crites January 22, 1987 and she survives. His second home was the great outdoors and he spent a lot of time in the woods hunting. A special thanks to Rod Crites for being his hunting buddy.

Surviving is his wife, Tammy; sons, Steven (Tina) Brown, James (Kim) Brown, Jeston Brown and Jeremy Groves; daughters, Jamie (Mark) Wampler, Jenifer (The Kyle) Brown and Joni (Joe) Groves; 9 grandchildren; brothers, Carl (Sandra) Brown and David Brown; and sister, Royce Barrett.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Madison Sorneson; brother, James Brown; and sister, Sissy Brown.

Cremation has taken place and there will be private services with the family.
