Hunt is back on in Kidron
KIDRON The Easter Bunny is hopping back into Kidron this year.
An annual tradition has returned to this community. Besides a visit with the bunny, an egg hunt, refreshments and snacks are all planned for 1 p.m. April 10 at Kidron Community Park.
New officers are serving on the community council and they have begun revisiting planning of the community events that were cancelled last year because of the pandemic.
“Everything is outside,” said Jacob Troyer, president of the Kidron Community Council. “We felt it was time to get one event under the belt.”
A Swiss Meal, which is typically in January, did not take place this year because of the pandemic, so the egg hunt is the first event of 2021 hosted by the community council. Plans are still in the works, but the council hopes to have Kidron Days in June, Fun Night in July and a Fall Fest.
“I think a lot of people are ready for that,” Troyer said.
