Mast, Michael W.

Orrville — Michael W. Mast, age 68, of Orrville, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021, at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Michael was born on March 5, 1953, in Wooster, to the late Richard and Joyce (Miller) Mast and graduated from Smithville High School in 1971.  He married Julie Hershberger on April 4, 1987, in Kidron.
He worked as a Printer for Rohrer, retiring in 2016.
Michael was a member of NOW Church in Orrville. He could be found doing many carpet jobs on the side and was passionate about working with wood and giving away his turned wood pieces, like pepper grinders, candle sticks, etc., to friends and family. He was a quiet man who loved to tell stories.
Surviving are his wife, Julie Mast of Orrville; daughter, Rachel Mast of Orrville; son, Andy Mast of Wooster; brother, Rex (Gina) Mast of Apple Creek; father and mother-in law, Theron (Bev) Hershberger of Orrville; two brother-in-laws, Ron (Karla) Hershberger of Wooster, and Terry (Louise) Hershberger of Smithville; sister-in-law, Evie (Bryan) Tackitt of Smithville; and numerous nieces and nephews .
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his uncles, Wesley (Mary Ellen) Martin, Ralph (Betty) Martin, Ellis Miller, and Jack Knoblock.
Friends may call on Monday, May 3, 2021, at NOW Church Orrville Campus, 1235 Back Massillon Road, Orrville, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Services will be held at 3:15 pm on Monday, May 3, 2021 at NOW Church, with Pastors Regina Miller, Rodney Lemon, and Jim Copenhaver officiating and will be live streamed at Burial will take place at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
Visitors are asked to wear masks, practice social distancing, and adhere to posted signs and spacing limitations.  Seating may be limited.
