Hubert, Patricia Lee

Orrville — Patricia Lee Hubert, age 90, of Orrville, died Friday, May 21, 2021, at her residence, following a period of declining health.
Patricia was born on September 1, 1930, in Juniata Altoona, Pennsylvania, to the late Fredrick and Betty (Taylor) Hubert.
She came to Wayne County as a child to visit her grandmother and fell in love with the rolling hills and lush pastures. She has been residing in Wayne County for over 60 years, spending 40 years in Orrville.
Pat was a deeply spiritual person always searching for the perfect union between spirituality, religion, and her own humanity. She was a poet, writer, and a scholar. She attended, the University of Akron/Wayne College and the College of Wooster after the age of 50, gaining honor on the Dean’s List. Her passion for learning continued throughout her life even as she waned in the last weeks. Patricia had a spirit that would not be contained, molded or defined. She sparked!
She is survived by her life-partner of 47 years, Marie Lowe and her beloved dog, Roscoe Lee. She will be greatly missed.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful people at Life Care Hospice for the care and concern given. A special thank you to Dr. Lisa Malys, who became the granddaughter Pat always wanted.
Memorial services will be held at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, at St. James Episcopal Church, 201 North Market St., Wooster, with Rev. Evan Fischer officiating.
