Yoder, Eli D.

Eli D. Yoder, 85, of 672 N. Swinehart Road, Apple Creek, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 at his home after complications from COVID-19.

He was born in Wayne County on April 19, 1936 to the late Dan J. and Ida D. (Miller) Yoder and married Clara E. Weaver on April 1, 1958 and she survives.
He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Joe (Mary Ann) Yoder of the home, Abe (Ruth) Yoder of Apple Creek, Ray (Barbara) Yoder of Danville, Allen (Kathy) Yoder of Orrville, Andy (Nettie) Yoder of Fredericksburg, Ida (Roy) Mast of Millersburg, Ella (John) Kauffman of Apple Creek, Anna (late Jr.) Troyer of Orrville, John (Marlene) Yoder of Fredericksburg, and Mary (Dan) Kauffman of Fredericksburg; 80 grandchildren; 153 great grandchildren; siblings, Abe (late Mary) Yoder, Esther (late Melvin) Troyer, Barbara (late Melvin) Stutzman, Anna (Joe) Miller, Ivan (Ada) Yoder, Verba (Crist) Miller, Mattie (Andy) Troyer, and Laura (William) Miller.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a sister; a son-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law, Atlee Miller, Melvin Stutzman, and Melvin Troyer; 2 sisters-in-law, Ella E. Yoder, and Ella E. Yoder.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 9:00 am at the Abe Yoder residence, 670 Swinehart Road, Apple Creek, with Bishop Mose Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Erb Cemetery. Friends may call anytime at the family residence.  Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
