Orrville — John F. Bellman , age 86, of Orrville, died Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Summa Barberton Citizens Hospital, following a period of declining health.
John was born on October 1, 1935, in Holmesville, Ohio, to the late Virgil and Iota (McCune) Bellman and served as a Private in the United States Army during Vietnam War.
He worked as a truck driver for many years, last working for Tyson.
John enjoyed BINGO, Triple 7’s and playing cards.
Surviving are daughter, Jody Whitehead of Columbus, GA; step-son, Alan Greer of Columbus, GA; grandson, Dakota Whitehead of Columbus, GA; two sisters, Phyllis Carter of Orrville, Cheryl Plough of Orrville; brother, Larry (Phyllis) Bellman of SC; and numerous nieces and nephews .
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles “Sonny” Bellman, and Carl E. Bellman; and three sisters, Mary Mason, Myrna J. Van Fossen, and Lora Lee Van Fossen.
Friends may call on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, where military rites will be observed.
