Marshallville — Charles L. “Charlie” Howell, age 86, of Marshallville, died Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Charlie was born on March 10, 1935, in Paden City, West Virginia, to the late Otto and Dorothy (Neff) Howell and married Sandra “Sandy” Skeens on June 29, 1996, in Wooster. Sandra survives.
He worked as a supervisor for Crown Steel and Volvo Trucks in Orrville for 42 years, retiring in 2000.
Charlie enjoyed the outdoors where he had a cabin that he liked going to and spend time at, he loved spending time with his family and was a man that worked his heart out.
Surviving are in addition to Sandy are his son, Joshua (Jeanette) Howell of Ashland; three daughters, Sharon (John) Banton of North Lawrence, Christina (Rick) Hurst of Medina, and Teresa Barner of Burbank; two step children; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; sister, Mary Doyle of Cleveland, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Howell, five grandchildren and one great grandchild; and six brothers.
There will be no services and burial will take place at Smithville Cemetery.
