Mikes, Richard F.
Dalton — Richard F. Mikes Jr., age 49, of Dalton, died Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Aultman Orrville Hospital in Orrville, following a 3 month battle with cancer.
Richard was born on June 7, 1972, in Orrville, to Richard and Jackie (Kreachbaum) Mikes, attended Dalton High School, and married Jenn Rohrer on October 18, 2014, in Kidron.
He worked as a quality coordinator for Jae Tech in Apple Creek for the last 19 years.
Richard attended Crossroads Community Church in Doylestown where he participated in small group. He loved fishing, boating, and fishing again. He also enjoyed helping sell pulled pork for the Dalton Booster Club, cheering for the Michigan Wolverines and attending games at “The Big House”. He will be remembered for his big heart, a love of animals, and his sense of humor.
Surviving are his wife, Jenn Mikes; father, Richard F. (Diana Wright) Mikes Sr. of Dalton; two sons, Monte Mikes of Dalton and Garrett Stoller of KY; daughter, Makenna Stoller of TX; good friend, Chris Morris; and several aunts and uncles including his close uncle, Benny Mikes.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jackie M. Mikes; and sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Todd Griffith.
Friends may call on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from Noon to 1:00 pm.
