Stutzman, Larry W.

Smithville — Larry W. Stutzman, age 79, of Smithville, died Saturday, April 9, 2022, at his residence in Smithville, following a period of declining health.

Larry was born on March 11, 1943, in Milford, Nebraska, to the late Donald and Hazel (Kramer) Stutzman and graduated from Smithville High School in 1961. He married Sandy J. Shaffer on December 9, 1963, in Marshallville . Sandy survives.

He owned and operated Smithville Hardware for 25 years, retiring in 2016.

Larry was a member of Smithville Brethren Church. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren playing sports.

Surviving are three daughters, Connie Stutzman of Orrville, Cristie (Norman) Robinett of Smithville, and Rochelle (Terry) Shane of Orrville; son, Shawn Stutzman of Smithville; eight grandchildren, Ashley (Tom) Gross, Kellie (Will) Torres, Josh Stutzman, Toni Gregory, Morgan (Tyler) Davis, Tolan Shane, Trent Shane, and Sydney Shane; 15 great grandchildren; two siblings, Dana (Charlene) Stutzman, and Claudia (Randall) Marthey.

Services for Larry will be private and burial will take place at the St. Michael’s Cemetery in Marshallville.
