Kenneth R. Hendrix, 65

Kenneth R. Hendrix, 65, entered his heavenly home Sunday, September 24, 2023 while at home, surrounded by his family. He fought a courageous battle with cancer, facing each challenge with strength and dignity.

Kenny was born October 18, 1957, to Alberta Hendrix. In 2009, he met his forever valentine, Ella Kay. They were married on February 14, 2020.
A man of the outdoors, Kenny enjoyed taking time out to go camping, fishing and hunting. And in the warmer seasons, he could often be found taking his Harley for a ride. But even more important to him was his family. Kenny’s daily life displayed a deep love and support for his wife and for each of his kids and grandkids. He was most happy when spending time with his family and fur babies.
Surviving is his wife Ella Kay, son Tyson Hendrix, daughters Jessica Hendrix, Amanda Huff and Dedra Hendrix, grandchildren Rayann and Emmi Hendrix, Riley, Skyler and Ashton Arnold, Gavin Huff, Teona and Jamelle Hendrix and great-grandson, Jason Hendrix. Step-children Ruby (Lane) Hofstetter, Leon (Anna) Mast, Michael (Rhoda) Mast, Jeremiah (Becca) Mast, Mark (Chelsea) Mast, Steven (Allyson) Mast and step-grandkids, Ben and Luke Hofstetter, Savannah, Braden, Charlotte, Lexi, Kylie, Zachary, Kenzie, Addelyn, Emersyn and Weston Mast.
He was preceded in death by his mother Alberta Hendrix and grandparents Haud and Pearl Hendrix.

A celebration of life will be held at Salem Mennonite Church, 3363 Zuercher Road, Dalton, on Friday September 29 at 11 AM. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 5 to 7 PM and one hour prior to service.
