Janet “Suzanne” Stocker, 90

ORRVILLE — Janet “Suzanne” Stocker, age 90, of Orrville, died Friday, March 8, 2024, at her home in Orrville, following a period of declining health.
Suzanne was born on December 12, 1933, in Massillon, to the late Kenneth and Edith (Hall) Steed, and graduated from Massillon Washington High School in 1952.  She married William E. “Bill” Stocker on November 14, 1953, at the Massillon United Church of Christ. Bill survives.
She worked in a variety of positions for The J.M. Smucker Company in Orrville, including the Personnel, Tour and Shipping Departments, as well as Supervisor of the Gift Box Line, for a total of 32 years, retiring in 1996.
Suzanne was a member of Christ United Church of Christ in Orrville, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Mother’s Study Club. She enjoyed birds, flowers, bowling with her Smucker girls, the Massillon Tigers, the Orrville Red Riders, and going fishing with Bill.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Bill, are her children, Karin Hranko and John  Stocker, both of Orrville; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; two siblings, Connie (Earl) Brugger of Massillon and Howard Steed of CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Keith Allen Stocker; daughter, Kathie Suzanne Caulier; and brothers, Norman, William and Donald Steed.
Friends may call on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Burial will take place at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville following cremation.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Renee Hershman and also the staff of LifeCare Hospice for the love and care provided to Suzanne over the last three years.
