Sally Elizabeth Steiner, 77
Sally Elizabeth Steiner, of Richland, PA. went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024
at the age of 77 years and ten days. She was the wife of the Irvin Clair Steiner. Born on Dec. 8,
1947, in Oregon City, OR. She was the daughter of the late David “LeRoy” and Hazel Elizabeth
(Shank) Hooley. Sally was a member of the Miners Village Mennonite Church. The funeral and
burial were at the Miners Village Mennonite Church in Cornwall, PA.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by seven sons: Arlin (Carla), Steven (Paige) both of
Lebanon, Loren (LaClaria) of Fredericksburg, Lavern (Krista), Lynford (Janelle), David (Becky)
and Lyndall Steiner, all of Lebanon, three daughters Evelyn (Philip Weaver), Marilyn (Justin
Hursh), both of Lebanon, and Marlene (Kevin Martin) from LA; thirty-seven grandchildren,
brothers—Kenneth of Kingston, OH, John and Paul from LA; sister Vera Byler of Whiteville,
TN, two brothers-in-law Dennis Nussbaum, Woodbury, SC, and James Stover, Barnwell, SC and
sister-in-law Ella Hooley of Annville, PA.
Irvin grew up in the Dalton/Kidron area. He completed a term of 1-W service in PA. He was
involved in construction work with Josey Miller for several years. He has three brothers John,
Oris, Clifford and one sister, Mary Ann, who are deceased. Family members living in Wayne
County are Wilbur, Vilas, Maynard, Olen, Miriam, Arlene, and Esther.
