Barbara J. “Jeanie” Gatti, 70

Barbara J. “Jeanie” Gatti, 70, of Mount Eaton, peacefully went to be with Jesus on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.

She was born in Wooster on July 16, 1955 to the late Roman and Sarah (Schlabach) Beachy and married Donald R. “Chuck” Gatti on April 12, 1975.  He died September 24, 2024.

Chuck and Jeanie owned several successful business’ over the years including the former Mount Eaton Arco station and Eastwood Furniture in Kidron.

She was a member of Grace Church in Wooster.

Jeanie was proud of her family and loved spending time with them and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.  Chuck and Jeanie enjoyed traveling together, motorcycle trips, visiting friends and spending the winter months in Florida with their Florida friends.

She is survived by children, Angela Sherer of Aurora, CO, Don (Stephanie) Gatti of Mount Eaton and Mike (Valarie) Gatti of Wooster; grandchildren, Mena and Jacob Sherer, Landon, Sydnie, Sadie, Connor, Kenzie, Braylee and Jansen Gatti.

Friends and family may call on Monday, May 11, 2026 from 5-8:00 pm at the Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton.  Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 9:30 am at West Lawn Cemetery in Mount Eaton followed by a service to celebrate Jeanie’s life at 11:00 am at Grace Church, 4599 Burbank Road, Wooster, with Pastor Randy Moomaw officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Missions Fund of Grace Church or the American Cancer Society.
