Fath, Doris M.

Doris M. Fath, age 79, of Kidron entered the gates of Heaven peacefully at her home on Wednesday, April 8, 2020.

She was born near Kidron, Ohio on July 12, 1940 to the late Elmer and Lina (Lehman) Gerber. She married Richard Fath of Massillon on February 14, 1959.
She was a homemaker all her life, raising five daughters and caring for her grandchildren and all those around her. She and Dad were always there for birthdays, holidays, special events and attended countless sporting events, school and church events in support of family and friends. We all knew without a doubt you could count on her for love, words of encouragement and support, a prayer or a helping hand. She was God’s perfect gift to our Dad and the most loving and unselfish person. She loved her family so very much and we will cherish all the beautiful memories of her. We were not ready to let her go, but God’s timing is always right.
She loved Jesus as her Lord and Savior first, and she knew He loved her even more. Her church family at Berlin Christian Fellowship was equally important to her. She enjoyed and cherished the many friends she made there.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, daughters Dawn Fath of Dalton, Tammy (Mike) Noble of Wooster, Jana (Randy) Miller of Apple Creek, Cheryl (Todd Triner) Fischnich of Massillon, and Angie (Kirk) Gerber of Kidron, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and sisters Lillian Gerber and Marjorie (Gordon) Nussbaum of Kidron.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Marilyn and Herman Nussbaum, brother-in-law Glenford Gerber and foster brother John Bocko.
Private family services will be held at this time and a service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.  Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
