Troyer, Emma A.

Emma A. Troyer, 71, of 9851 Harrison Road, Apple Creek, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Mercy Medical Center following a sudden illness.

She was born in Holmes County on April 28, 1949 to the late Andy E. and Amanda P. (Miller) Gingerich and married Eli M. Troyer on March 18, 1971.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She is survived by her husband, Eli; children, Esther Troyer of Apple Creek, Leroy (Susie) Troyer of Fresno, David (Barbara) Troyer of the home, Sarann (Nelson) Miller of Dundee, Martha (Alan) Swinehart of Shreve, Edna (David) Kauffman of Millersburg, Erma Troyer of the home, Laura Troyer (fiance Lawayne Helmuth) of Winesburg; 23 grandchildren; brothers, Eli (Edna) Gingerich of Fredericksburg, Roman (Clara) Gingerich of Orrville; sisters, Mattie Miller of Fredericksburg, Verna (Ernest) Eicher of Monroe, IN, Anna (Jonas) Wengerd of Walhonding, Clara Schlabach of Berlin; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother Abe, and brother in-law Roman Miller.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at 9am at the family residence with Bishop Ervin E. Mast officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after noon on Friday and anytime on Saturday at the family residence. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
