Landers, Mary “Eileen”

Orrville — Mary “Eileen” Landers, age 97, of Orrville, died Monday, July 27, 2020, at Aultman Orrville Hospital, following a period of declining health.
Eileen was born on October 17, 1922, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Hiram and Helen (Issenmann) Nicholas, graduated from Orrville High School in 1940, and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Notre Dame College in Cleveland.  She married Charles F. “Rocky” Landers on May 29, 1948, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Orrville.  Rocky died on April 20, 1984.
She worked as an administrative assistant for Quality Castings in Orrville prior to raising her family and again from 1986 until 2020.
Eileen was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons, Terry Landers of Orrville, Patrick (Maryjo) Landers of Stow, and Kevin (Beth) Landers of Orrville; daughter, Mary (Gene) Godward of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter-in-law, Lisa Landers of Orrville; nine grandchildren, Rachel (Kevin) Stafford of Elizabethtown, KY, Colleen Landers of New York, NY, Erin (Jake) Gibbemeyer of Troy, Emilee Landers of Beechwood, Robert, Michael and Hannah Godward, all of Cuyahoga Falls, Adam (Kelly Steiner) Moomaw of Orrville, and Jared (Sarah) Moomaw of Newbern, NC; eight great grandchildren, Charles and Ryan Gibbemeyer, Michael Stafford, and Molly, Tommy, Lukas, Lillian and Claire Moomaw; three sisters, Rita Gibbons of Naples, FL, Ann M. Baumgartner of Orrville, and Mary Helen “Tid” Besancon of Orrville; and a brother, Richard Allan “Dick” (Pinky) Nicholas of Dalton.
In addition to her husband, Rocky, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael J. Landers; a grandson, John Hiram Landers; a sister, Jean L. Bohlen; and brothers, Anthony and Robert Nicholas.
Friends may call on Thursday, July 30, 2020, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 6 to 8 pm.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 541 Spring Street, Orrville, with Pastor Ronald J. Turek officiating. Burial will take place at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
