MOUNT EATON – David J. Hershberger, 76, of 15520 Salt Creek Road, Apple Creek, passed Saturday, October 31, 2020 at his home following a 5 year battle with Fahr’s Disease.
He was born in Wooster on July 24, 1944 to the late Jacob and Mary (Hostetler) Hershberger. He married Clara A. Keim on May 25, 1967 and she survives.
He was a member of the New Order Amish Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Laura (Mark) Miller of Dundee, Susan (Bryan) Troyer of Apple Creek, Barbara (Mervin) Wengerd of Dalton, Norman (Tina) Hershberger of Fredericksburg, and Rose (Daniel) Stutzman of Mount Eaton; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Edna (Harry) Weaver of Kidron; brother-in-law, Dan Mast of Maysville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eli; and a sister, Elizabeth.
Calling hours are Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Sunday any time at the Community Building, 14583 Salt Creek Road, Apple Creek where funeral services will be held Monday, November 2, at 9 am with Minister Roy Keim officiating. Burial will be in the Hershberger Cemetery. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
