Gerber, Lillian

Lillian Gerber, 89, of Kidron, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Accord Care Community in Orrville.

She was born in Kidron on September 6, 1931 to the late Elmer and Lina (Lehman) Gerber and married Glenford N. Gerber on November 19, 1949. He died January 27, 2014.

She was a loving mother and grandmother, and a lifelong member of the Kidron Mennonite Church. Known for her beautiful roses, Lillian was an avid gardener and wonderful cook. Most importantly, she was a very loving mother and grandmother who cared deeply for her family.

She is survived by children, Cindy (Tim) Ryder of Kidron, Eugene (Tammy) Gerber of Dalton and Steve (Ana) Gerber of Kidron; grandchildren, Andy (Esta) Ryder, Phil (Danica) Ryder, Beth (Adam) Gage, Joseph Gerber (deceased), Laura (Chris) Boggs and Daniel Gerber; great grandchildren, Chelsea, Austin, Seth, Jaxon, Axl, Brandon, Dayla, Gavin, Delaney and Ashton; a sister, Marjorie (Gordon) Nussbaum of Kidron; and a brother-in-law, Richard Fath of Kidron.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Marilyn (Herman) Nussbaum and Doris (Richard) Fath.

Due to the current health conditions, private family services will be held with burial in the Kidron Mennonite Church Cemetery. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
