Zuercher, Beulah Irene
Rittman — Beulah Irene Zuercher, age 102, of Rittman, formerly of Smithville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at the Apostolic Christian Home in Rittman, following a period of declining health.
Beulah was born on January 15, 1919, in Myerstown, PA, to the late Jacob and Susie (Keller) Stauffer, finished her high school diploma at Hesston College and Bible School in Hesston, KS, and married Mahlon N. Zuercher on August 10, 1947 at the Wooster Mennonite Church. Mahlon died on November 21, 2019.
Beulah was a member of Smithville Mennonite Church. She enjoyed walking, traveling with Mahlon in their fifth wheel camper, and was an avid reader of her Bible. She took great joy in the care of little children, babysitting, and especially taking care of her grandchildren.
Surviving are seven children, Carol (Ken) Stuter of Orrville, Paul (Sheila) Zuercher and Stan (Kim) Zuercher, both of Crossville, TN, Ron (Jackie) Zuercher of Wooster, Dan Zuercher of Cottonwood, AZ, Joyce (Fred) Thomas of Ashland, and Steve (Lisa) Zuercher of Wooster; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul (Isabel) Stauffer and Mark Stauffer; and many nieces & nephews.
In addition to her husband, Mahlon, she was preceded in death by nine siblings.
Friends may call on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Smithville Mennonite Church, 6097 Akron Road, Smithville, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Services will follow at 12:00 noon, on Tuesday at the church, with Pastor Todd Martin officiating and will be live-streamed at facebook.com/AubleFuneralHome. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. Visitors are asked to wear masks, practice social distancing, and adhere to posted signs and spacing limitations.
The family wishes to thank the Apostolic Christian Home and LifeCare Hospice for the love and care extended to Beulah in her final years and days.
